Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation
Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation supports music education and its many benefits through the donation and repair of musical instruments to under-served schools, community music programs and individual students nationwide.
MHOF was inspired by the acclaimed motion picture Mr. Holland's Opus, the story of the profound effect a dedicated music teacher had on generations of students. The film's composer, Michael Kamen, founded MHOF in 1996 as his commitment to the future of music education.
Museum of Making Music
The mission of the Museum of Making Music is to celebrate the rich history and encourage the future of music making. The one-of-a-kind museum invites all NAMM Members to tour the museum FREE of charge. Located in the NAMM Industry Headquarters in beautiful Carlsbad, Calif., the museum is a great way to experience firsthand the impact of the music products industry over the last 100+ years.
Music Achievement Council
The Music Achievement Council is a nonprofit organization of music industry leaders dedicated to developing and retaining instrumental music students and teachers. For tools, tips and resources on how to recruit and retain music instructors, visit MAC.
PMC-Percussion Marketing Council, Music Industry Associations
PMC is a nonprofit music industry organization dedicated to representing the percussion segment of the music products industry, which has worked with NAMM on a variety of programs. PMC recently released "Mommy & Me" Early Childhood Music Program, an exciting new music participation program for preschool children and their parents that complements NAMM's already-popular Sesame Street Music Works project.
NAMM also supported PMC’s ad campaign “Hit Like a Girl,” which focused on the female market. Visit PMC for percussion industry information, events, programs, news and playing tips.
