O.P. Prahladka

O. P. Prahladka is the Chairman of Hitachi KK Manufacturing Company in Kolkata, India, and has played an important role in the development of the music products industry within his country. Hitachi provides handcrafted products made of jute, wood, horn, bone, shell, metal and other natural materials. Their products include percussion instruments, and just within the last decade, they have become one of the largest exporters of wood products from India. O. P. has served at several levels within the industry and was a key attendee at the Global Summit VI, which took place in Carlsbad, California in 2007.

Vijay Talwar

Vijay Talwar’s father sold wood in India, and when Vijay began working for his father as a teenager they noticed an increase in the amount of wood being sold to make musical instruments. After researching the desired woods and cuts, Vijay and other vendors took part in the development of the violin parts industry within India. He watched the demand grow and took part in discovering the woods and later the crafted parts that would be send all around the world.
