About Music Making and Wellness

The latest scientific research on music making and wellness has shown that group keyboard lessons conducted in a supportive, socially enjoyable setting may give adults significant health benefits.

NAMM has made it easy to get started by providing all of the information and materials you will need to effectively market to seniors.

The Research

The 1999 NAMM-funded Music Making and Wellness project found that seniors who participated in group music lessons reported significantly decreased feelings of depression, anxiety and loneliness. They also showed an increase in the H uman Growth Hormone (hGH)
