While the musical instruments and products our industry produces can be purchased and enjoyed by everyone, NAMM Membership is restricted to a select group of companies who meet the association's Membership criteria, in general, those companies that manufacture, distribute and/or retail musical instruments/products. Likewise, attendance at NAMM trade shows is restricted to “trade only” companies (not open to the public).


NOTE:
The following individuals/companies/entities DO NOT qualify for NAMM Membership and may not attend NAMM trade shows:

Bands or musical groups, DJs, churches, school districts, colleges, concert promoters, production companies, film and movie companies, home recording studios, music clubs or venues, performing artists or musicians, private music teachers, producers, record labels, record/CD stores, songwriters, studio audio engineers or theaters, etc.

Individuals/Consumers – Although NAMM Membership isn't for you, we still need your help spreading the word about the many proven benefits of making music. For more information, please visit the Wanna Play? section of our Web site. And be sure to visit your local NAMM music products retailer to see all of the great new products that were introduced at the NAMM trade shows!

New Members are required to submit their Member applications and badge registration prior to the NAMM show to avoid additional registration fees of $25 per badge.

Retail Stores ($195)
Retail music instrument/product stores. Not for second-hand, vintage, or repair shops.*

Commercial Companies ($195)
Manufacturer, Distributor, Importer/Exporter, Publisher of Instructional Media, Music Software Publisher, Print Music Publisher.*

Retail Affiliates ($195)
Commercial recording studios, music schools with retail sales, repair shops, sound contractors, vintage and pawn shops.

Commercial Affiliates ($195)
Manufacturer/Distributor of Components, OEM, Industry Magazine Publisher, Reference Book Publisher, Manufacturer/Distributor of Musical Gifts or Novelties.

Sales Representatives
Business acting as a sales representative for one or more current NAMM Member manufacturers. If your company distributes or manufactures a product use a commercial application.

Exhibit Space Application
Only Commercial and Commercial Affiliate applicants may apply for exhibit space. All exhibiting companies must be current Members of NAMM. The exhibit space application serves as a membership application. If you would like to apply for exhibit space, please submit this Exhibit Space Application in lieu of the Commercial or Commercial Affiliate applications above.

Include required business verification documents
Applications submitted without proper documentation can not be processed, which will result in delays and/or rejection.

All of the following must be included:

  • A copy of a government-issued document showing proof of legal company name (i.e. business license, tax permit, articles of incorporation, etc.)
  • A copy of your company's music products industry specific catalogs, brochures and/or advertisements
  • Two copies of recent invoices that demonstrate your company is currently conducting business in the music products industry. (Manufacturers need invoices showing proof they are selling to distributors and/or dealers. Distributors need invoices showing proof they are purchasing from manufacturers and selling to dealers. Dealers need invoices showing proof they are purchasing from manufacturers and/or distributors.)
