Ken Murray is a coach and founder of Music Career Coach. He received his coach training from Coach U. He serves on the board of the Tennessee Coaches Alliance as the Marketing and Communications chair.

Ken has a lifetime of experience working in the music industry. He earned a degree in Recording Industry Management and Business Administration from the nation’s leading school, Middle Tennessee State University.

Ken began forging relationships with industry insiders while working in the business affairs department at Liberty Records (now Capitol Nashville).

He honed his business skills while working alongside Chip Peay of Chip Peay management (Steve Wariner, Alan Jackson, Ricky Skaggs).

Ken also enjoyed a successful career building over achieving teams for Guitar Center. Ken’s coaching and leadership skills earned him a new manager of the year award. Members of his teams were often the top producers.

Ken is a contributor to the Music and Sound Retailer in the Business and Marketing section. He has been a featured speaker at the Music Industry Innovator’s Group (MIIG) and NAMM Shows (National Association of Music Merchants).
