Title: Director of Marketing & Communications

Scott Robertson is the director of marketing and communications for NAMM-the trade association of the international music products industry. He is responsible for communicating NAMM’s vision and message to its Members as well as other audiences in order to help the organization reach its strategic objective of unifying, leading and strengthening the global music products industry, while creating more active music makers. “The creativity I use every day to earn my living comes from playing music,” Scott says. “I enjoy helping NAMM spread its message to key audiences around the world about the proven, powerful benefits of music.”

A resident of Orange County, Calif., Scott previously served as senior vice president and general manager for Porter Novelli, a top-ten global public relations firm with offices in 52 countries. He has more than 18 years of corporate and agency experience in marketing communications, advertising and public relations. He’s also an active, accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America and has won several industry awards for strategic communications campaigns throughout his career. Robertson is also an active member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
