NAMM is gearing up to help summer music camps across the country that its retail Members host for teens. The effort is to heighten the public’s awareness of the offerings at NAMM Member retail stores, and to encourage teens to continue or start playing music during the summer when school is out.

Currently, the association is conducting research about which retailers offer these camps and if they would like NAMM to include their programs in its efforts to motivate teens to get involved in music during the summer. The promotion will entail:

• A springtime e-blast to at least 100,000 teens across the nation urging them to attend summer music camps at NAMM Member stores
• Creating awareness about NAMM Members' camps via the e-blast and on a Web page informing teens where the nearest NAMM Member summer camp program is located
• No cost to Members
