Know the Candidates!!

It’s “election season” and an important time for you to dig beneath the surface of political slogans and affiliates (Dem, Rep, Tea, other?) and ask candidates questions about where they stand on issues that impact your music products business. Here are three questions based on current critical issues; many more issues can be put forward. If someone wants your vote, you can request an answer.

To Mr. or Ms Candidate running for public office:
1) where do you stand on the issue of the role of music and the arts in a complete education for all children? (very important question for ALL candidates and especially people running for school board, mayor, or regional control boards; if we all asked this question during every election cycle, support for music education would be stronger)

2) what will you do to improve conditions for small business especially concerning business tax as we face steeper requirements for employee health care coverage? (good question for candidates for federal office)

3) Where do you stand on internet sales tax as it impacts traditional retail business? (good question for candidates for state office)
