Music Educators and NAMM Show 2010

I was at NAMM headquarters in southern California for a few days in late September. It is always great to be with the home team, touch base with west coast public affairs buddies and to get up to date with all the plans for the NAMM Show that will take place January 14 – 17, 2010 in Anaheim, CA.

Although the NAMM show is open to music products trade professionals only, the NAMM Foundation hosts national leaders and offers a special invitation to music educators who may wish to attend the Show and participate in our Saturday and Sunday program for music educators. If you are a music educator teaching K-12 or teaching music education in higher education, do not hesitate to contact me and we will send you information via email about the music education activities at the NAMM Show. We do not attempt to duplicate a music education conference like those on the state or national level, but we offer a chance for music educators to review new materials and instruments and the level of creativity in the industry has proven to be inspiring. We are working on our music education program now, so welcome your contact – and your ideas.

The music industry honors the remarkable contribution that music teachers make every day to the lives of their students; our invitation to music educators to be our guests at the NAMM Show is but one way we would like to say THANK YOU!!
