Louie Bellson

Louie Bellson was one of the World's premier drummers and listed in every jazz encyclopedia. Even with great success, he remained humble and one of the true gentlemen of American popular music. With his noted double bass drum kit, a series of method books, and respected clinics, Louie made a major impact on the music products industry. Over the decades Louie has been an endorsee and performer at the NAMM show and served as vice president at REMO, Inc. During his playing career, which included years with Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Harry James and Duke Ellington, Louie became an innovator in style and a great example of musical staying power.

Rick Drumm inherited his father’s love of music. His father established Ronnie Drumm's House of Music and Rick spent must of his childhood in the store and playing drums with his father’s many bands and combos.

Mickey Hart

 Mickey Hart is the noted drummer of the Grateful Dead who has helped define rock drumming since the 1960s. His passion for the art form of percussion led him to write a series of books and countless articles on the history of drumming. His activities have helped popularize drum circles and music therapy programs that have benefited from the use of drums. Mickey began working with Remo Belli and other promoters of the benefits of music making as early as the 1970s, ahead of most other such efforts. Mickey has also been active in encouraging other young players with a series of clinics and special performances such as World Drumming programs in several countries.

Brock Kaericher

Brock Kaericher is the President of REMO Inc. and over the last few decades he has worked closely with the company’s founder, Remo Belli. Brock has been a strong supporter in the products as well as the many programs the company supports including music education and music wellness. As a member of the NAMM Board of Directors in the early 2000s, Brock was able to contribute to the same type of programs funded by NAMM including Recreational Music Making (RMM).

Lloyd McCausland

Lloyd McCausland has worked with Remo Belli ever since the famed Hollywood drummer began creating his own line of synthetic drumheads in the late 1950s. Lloyd has become a fixture at the company and is known to dealers and musicians alike. As vice president, Lloyd has played a large role in the marketing of the product line as well as improving on the manufacturing process. Lloyd’s NAMM Oral History interview was completed on January 19, 2003.

Poncho Sanchez

Poncho Sanchez has the heart and soul of his Latin music roots and the love and feel for funk. The result of these passions is the unique style that has helped establish him as a talented and innovative conga player and songwriter. During the interview he recalled how his love of music developed and the pride he has towards bringing his music to audiences all over the world. Poncho also spoke eloquently of his musical influences including his personal hero Mongo Santamaria, who became one of Poncho’s closest friends.

Fredy Shen

Fredy Shen has worked closely with Remo Belli becoming a Vice President in the Remo Corporation. Mr. Shen oversaw the expansion of the company’s manufacturing overseas. The relationships that he helped develop were vital in the company’s global marketing growth over the last 20 years. In addition, Mr. Shen has always felt that there is no substitute for hard work and honesty, qualities clearly evident in his long and successful career in the music products industry.
