NAMM and Freeman Work Together to Avoid Cost Increases

Talks were completed last week with Freeman, and an agreement has been reached to freeze prices at last year's levels.
"Freezing prices for NAMM exhibitors isn't as simple as it might sound on the surface," says Kevin Johnstone, NAMM's director of trade shows. "Many costs have gone up for several reasons. Signed agreements with labor unions that have built-in increases and increasing fuel costs are two of the biggest factors."

In order to freeze prices, NAMM, Freeman and the Anaheim Convention Center had to work together to find ways to increase efficiency, cut expenses and reduce unnecessary overtime.

"This was a great example of vendors working as partners toward a common goal," says Johnstone. "Right now, we know that every dollar counts and helping our Members to save money is a top priority for NAMM."
