2013 NAMM Show - We Are Now Accepting Performance Submissions
Do you want to gain exposure for your hottest products and latest gear? Submit a request by the November 1 deadline to get your endorsed artist a performance slot at the NAMM Show, January 24–27.
We are considering well-known acts to perform during the NAMM Show, including those the Main Stage at the new Grand Plaza, a highly visible stage putting your brand in front of 95,000+ show attendees.
Requests made by NAMM Member Companies will receive preferential consideration. Commercial Members submitting an artist must be exhibiting at the 2013 NAMM Show. Stage assignments are determined by a committee and all requested materials must be provided for the request to be brought before the committee.
Guidelines for submitting a request to perform on one of the NAMM stages in the Convention Center, Anaheim Marriott lobby, Anaheim Hilton lobby, Sheraton Park Jazz Stage and Hyatt Regency are as follows:
1) A written request is to be submitted on the member company¹s letterhead and include the following:
a) Written request for performance
b) Preferred stage
(1) Convention Center Outdoor
(2) Convention Center Lobby
(3) Hotel Lobby
c) Preferred date and time plus information on flexibility
d) Demo materials on CD or DVD ONLY—DO NOT e-mail links to MySpace, Sonicbids, Facebook, etc. Submissions without demo materials on CD or DVD will not be considered.
e) Promotional material to be used if the band is selected
2) Performance stages are provided for performances only. Submissions that appear to be "product demonstrations" will not be considered.
3) Requests must be received no later than November 1, 2012. After we receive the materials we will review all requests and schedule as time and space permit.
4) Notification of performance slots, or rejection, will be made by the end of November 2012.
5) Performance Schedules
a) Convention Center Outdoor: Performances are 40 minutes long and the time slot begins at the top of the hour. Turns for the incoming and outgoing performances must be accomplished within the 20-minute time period allowed. Performances scheduled on the "Outdoor Performance Stage" are weather permitting. Inclement weather will result in the cancellation of the performance.
b) Convention Center Lobby: Performances times vary. Morning performances begin at 9 a.m. must end at exactly 10 a.m., when the show opens. Evening performances begin at 5:30 p.m.
c) Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton and Hyatt stages: Performance times are one hour in duration. Performances typically begin at 5:30 p.m. and end around midnight.
6) Provided Equipment:
a) Stage, sound, minimal lighting provided.
b) Backline consisting of:
(1) Bass Rigs
(2) Guitar Amplifiers
(3) Drum Kit
(4) Percussion Set
(5) Keyboards with stands, pedals and Keyboard amplifiers
7) Load-in Information
a) Convention Center—Non-exhibitors may not bring personal instruments into the convention center. Instruments on the stage should be provided by exhibitors out of their booth inventory. If personal gear must be brought in, the submitting member will be required to coordinate the load-in and load-out with the NAMM Production Manager.
b) Hotel lobby performers must coordinate their move-in and out with the NAMM Production Manager. All information will be provided after performance selections have been made.
8) Volume levels are an extremely important concern and volume levels will be determined solely by representatives of NAMM and the performance facility. Artists, or their representatives, who don¹t cooperate in keeping sound
levels at a comfortable level, as determined by NAMM, will have their performance terminated and will not be invited to perform at future NAMM shows. Additionally, the sponsoring exhibitor will loose the opportunity to present artists for consideration at future shows.
We look forward to receiving a performance request and demo materials from the member who will be presenting the artist. We ask that artists refrain from contacting NAMM directly or mailing materials to NAMM.
