The Small Business Administration's Office of Advocacy has announced that it will hold a virtual roundtable to gather small business input on the U.S. Department of Labor's proposed rule on classifying independent contractors under the Fair Labor Standards Act. It is expected that SBA officials will begin the roundtable by presenting a summary of the proposal.
The roundtable will be held on November 9, 2022 from 3-5 pm ET.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Labor announced that the formal comment period has been extended to December 13, 2022.
