Final FLA Meeting Announced

The 7-year United States Agency for International Development-World Resource cooperative agreement that has supported the FLA is coming to an end on September 30, 2016. As such, the next and last membership meeting of the Forest Legality Alliance will take place on July 6th and 7th 2016 in Washington, DC.  

The draft agenda and logistical information is now available. This summer’s meeting will focus primarily on the Convention on the International Trade of Endangered Species of Fauna and Flora (CITES). Specific topics will include updates on issues surrounding illegally traded CITES-listed species, government proposals to list specific species through CITES and current technologies to aid CITES and enforcement bodies in wood identification.
