United’s head of archiving, Dan Johnson, has spent the last seven years as a dedicated audio preservation engineer. Over the course of his career Dan has worked with priceless masters by high-profile legacy artists such as Led Zeppelin, John Lennon, The Doors, Eagles, Prince, The Ramones, Van Halen, Rod Stewart and Jackson Browne. In his time as an archival engineer he has transferred over 700 albums and 4000 tapes ranging from mono acetate to 48 track digital. Previously, Johnson was a recording engineer at Capitol Studios and Ocean Way (now United).
