Scott Blair


Scott Blair has spent almost 30 years in the lighting industry, first working on theatrical and concert productions then moving into product R&D. He currently works for VER as a Senior Product Manager in the R&D group. Previously Scott spent 11 years in various R&D roles at High End Systems. He has worked on a variety of projects in his career ranging from parkwide lighting control systems design for Walt Disney Imagineering to the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the Oscars. While at High End, Scott developed a protocol that was to be the genesis of the Remote Device Management (RDM) protocol that he led the development on in ESTA. Scott has been an active contributor in numerous ESTA Control Protocols projects, including sACN and DMX512, and currently co-chairs the development effort of RDMnet.
