Terri Winston is the executive director of Women’s Audio Mission, a non-profit dedicated to advancing women in the recording arts. For 25 years, Terri’s been a major-label recording artist, songwriter, recording engineer and producer, and she spent a decade as a professor and director of The Sound Recording Arts program at City College of San Francisco. She’s shared the stage with P.J. Harvey, Pixies, Throwing Muses, Flaming Lips, Fugazi and Third Eye Blind. She’s worked as an engineer and producer with Lenny Kaye/Patti Smith Group, Greg Hawkes/the Cars, Kronos Quartet, tUnE-yArDs, Angelique Kidjo, and world musicians from over 20 countries.
