NAMM Educational Sessions on Retail Technology and Software

NAMM retail members seeking to enhance the back-end of their operations can pick up new ideas and tips at the NAMM Retail Tech Stage. New for 2017, the NAMM Retail Tech Stage will be the hot spot for sessions on retail software, technology platforms and ideas for business modernization, all offered by NAMM service providers.

These sessions will be held Thursday and Friday at the NAMM Member Center (Level 1 Lobby). The NAMM Retail Tech Stage is part of the NAMM U, which also features the NAMM U Breakfast Sessions, NAMM Idea Center and Retail Boot Camp.

Piano Education Opportunities

On Friday at 1 pm, piano retail guru Bob Popyk hosts How to Sell Pianos in an Online World, an exciting panel discussion featuring best practices and innovative ideas from piano retail experts. They’ll cover everything from creating more piano customers using your online presence to viable outside promotions to a look at where the market is headed. Come Together for The NAMM Foundation's Grand Rally

The Second Annual Grand Rally for Music Education features violin virtuosos Black Violin in collaboration with Yamaha, along with student performances by The Perfect Fourth Quartet, a Sphinx Organization ensemble and recipients of the 2016 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award presented by First Lady Michelle Obama. This signature NAMM Foundation event includes exciting musical performances and “inside the practice room” conversations with iconic performing artists. Learn more here.

Calling All Voting Members

Proxy ballots to elect the 2017 NAMM Board of Directors were sent out this week to all voting members. Voting members can cast their vote by proxy or place their vote in person at NAMM’s 2017 Annual Meeting of Members, Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 11:30 am in the Avalon Ballroom of the Hilton Anaheim Hotel. Please take advantage of your voting privileges and return your proxy ballot to NAMM today, or plan to join us in Anaheim!

The Les Paul Foundation inspires innovative and creative thinking by sharing the legacy of Les Paul through support of music education, recording, innovation and medical research related to hearing loss. Presented each year as part of the TEC Awards at The NAMM Show, the Les Paul award celebrates industry legends for their inspirational music contributions and technical innovations.
