In Memory of Chris Stone

The TEC community mourns the passing of recording legend, Chris Stone, co-founder of the famous Record Plant, father of the modern studio, and 2016 TEC Hall of Fame inductee. We are honored that Chris will forever be part of the TEC Awards family. We had the unique opportunity to sit down with Chris during a 2015 Oral History interview. Watch excerpts of the legend himself.

The film focuses on the legendary Al Schmitt, the most celebrated music engineer, producer, and mixer of all time, and winner of 21 GRAMMY® Awards.
