For decades, where grid power won’t do, the go-to energy source for live event production has been diesel generators. They are a known quantity, but what’s not well known are the hidden costs, including environmental and human health issues. These exist due to the emissions of soot particles which cause lung damage, nitrogen oxides which contribute to smog, and sulfur dioxide which causes acid rain and more. It doesn’t have to be that way. The technology exists today to power stages small and large using environmentally friendly batteries and inverters. It’s reliable, scalable, cost-effective, and timely. Join presenters Neel Vasavada and Richard Cadena as they discuss the technology, the methods and practices, and the way forward.
