Teschner / Hall Group Featuring Gigi Gonaway and Mahlon Hawk
Drew Hall and Anton Teschner have been performing as a duo for over 14 years. Mastering compositions, for the discerning ear and the technical aficionado, one is almost guaranteed not to hear live music like their's anytime soon. Becoming well established all over Northern Arizona they decided to add the superior music qualities of Mahlon Hawk and Gigi Gonaway. This new combination of musicianship, expertise and experience created an immediate commotion with blow out shows.
Proficient in styles ranging from acid jazz and funk to rock and blues. Panamanian-born Hawk arrived in California in 1970, and quickly became a hot property as both a live and session player. He recorded the score for the mid-'70's skateboard feature film "Go For It" and in the '80's Hawk was a founding member and bassist for one of LA's hottest local bands, "Joshua", with Jeff "Skunk" Baxter. Hawk then began international travel with the Martin Valverde band backed by Ruben Blades' percussion section. Hawk also played and recorded with Tim Weisberg.
Extensive playing and recording brought Hawk to the attention of Stewart Sound Studio, where he worked on the sound track for a PBS Special with Bob Stewart and Franc Ortega winning an Emmy Award for the score in 2002.
In 2004, Hawk recorded and was music director for singer Connie Rae's sessions. Also worked with The Cars, Elliot Easton and George Benson drummer Oscar Seaton, at Cherokee Studios. He also laid down tracks with Grammy Award winning producer Reggie Dozierhe for singer Greg Claiborne on a gospel album with Mike Thompson (of the Eagles and Rod Stewart).
In the 2009 NAMM Show, Hawk played with drummer Bernard "Pretty" Purdie of Aretha Franklin and Steely Dan. Also with Carmine D'Amico, 24-Grammy Award winning studio musician.

Conquered the big stage by playing the biggest arenas in the world with several chart topping artists. Part of the original Mariah Carey band lineup for many years.
Also with renowned bass player and TV personality Randy Jackson, of American Idol fame. Also worked with some of the greatest singers of all time! Whitney, Aretha, Steve Winwood, Lisa Fischer, and Eric Martin.

Originally from Queens NY, Drew Hall has been entertaining audiences for 22 years. He has performed a wide variety of musical styles over the years with many artists / bands.
Founding member of renowned blues band, Big Daddy D and The Dynamites. 2007 Arizona Blues Showdown Champions opening for Walter Trout, Marcia Ball, Coco Montoya and Trampled Under Foot.
Currently working multiple projects with Arizona flamenco duo: Anton Teschner and Drew Hall Acoustic Duo. The Cheektones: A premier Northern Arizona original rock band. Also with Arizona music hall of fame member Walt Richardson.
Drew Hall has also recorded and performed with early rock and R&B Sax pioneer Joe Houston, Ed Carter of The Beach Boys, Eddie Watkins Jr of The Temptations and Marvin Gaye, Kirk Wall (Disneyland, Elvisfest)

Anton, a multi-instrumentalist, was born in Nurnberg Germany into a musical family. He picked up the guitar at the young age of 8 and never let it go. By the age of 12 Anton began adding saxophone… then keyboard and bass guitar.
Anton has recorded and performed saxophone and bass with some of the early legends of blues and rock and roll to a myriad of flamenco musicians and dancers on guitar. With his international experience and cultural exposure to music he has performed over half the globe from Istanbul to the Islands of Hawai’i. He now mainly performs Spanish guitar and Flamenco stylings with Drew Hall, Mahlon Hawk and Gigi Gonaway.
Anton Teschner performs mainly with Antonio Aparicio and Cordoba Espana guitars, Boss Acoustic guitar processors and Bose.
