The NAMM President’s Innovation Award honors college students who demonstrate excellence in the field of music and who are interested in pursuing a career in the music products industry.
For the past 22 years, The NAMM Foundation has supported the advocacy efforts of Save The Music Foundation and for the past three years The NAMM Foundation has awarded Save The Music with a grant to allow for students to have broader access to music in schools throughout the United States.
In Summer 2019 The NAMM Foundation announced grants for 28 music-making organizations with funds totaling $675,000. These organizations can be found throughout the United States and include seven international efforts. Recently, the Smart Women in Music (SWIM) Fund announced six awardees of the fund’s 2020 NAMM Show awards program. This one-time stipend will provide the emerging female leaders the opportunity to attend The NAMM Show (January 16-19, 2020) in Anaheim, California.

The organization, based out of New Haven, Connecticut, “empowers and connects young people through exceptional tuition-free music education, mentoring, and performance by our resident musicians” and is striving to give “all kids a chance to play.”
