The Bill McGoldrick Acoustic Duo

I have been playing guitar my entire life.  My initial influences were rock and roll and blues, listening to great guitar players like Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Duane Allman, Eric Clapton, Pete Townsend, Carlos Santana and all of the great rock and roll guitar players of that era.  They all, inspired me.

I graduated from Berklee College of Music and went on the road with one of my favorite bands of all time, "September".  That band featured three of the best musicians I have ever worked with.  The one and only Mr. Ron Vanaria on Bass, the Great Mr. Ron Bouchard on Vocals and Keys and the best Drummer I ever played with and one of the best there is, Mr. Joe Rizzo.

When I got off the road I started playing with a band that did gain a lot of popularity in the Boston area during the 1980s and that band was named "Struggle".  Struggle played all of the big clubs in the Boston area during that time, backing up some of the biggest bands of the 80s in the Boston area, bands like "Extreme" and many others.  We recorded an album, a 45 (how many remember them?) and we made a music video which got a lot of airplay on V66, which was the big local video channel of the time.  It also got played a couple of times on MTV in 1984!  Here it is if you would like to see it.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncZ02nNcjCE

"Struggle" also had some of the best musicians I have ever played with, the great Bobby "Bones" Moltedo on Bass, Michael Karcz on Percussion and John Ryerson on Keyboards and Vocals.  John wrote all of the tunes and "Struggle" was his baby.

I have played with a host of different bands and musicians throughout the years, from some of the top bands in the Boston area,  all the way to playing in Hong Kong, China with Herb Reed and the Platters.  We did that sold out show in 2010 to more than 8,000 people!

Now I am focusing on my Acoustic Duo with Ms. Pamela Steebler.  Please check our schedule and come to our gigs.
