North Of Mason Dixon, aka NOMaD, made a tremendous splash on the Pittsburgh regional country scene in the mid -2000s after placing in a highly publicized, country showdown competition; Since then, this steadily climbing, beyond high energy act has garnered a great deal of success and shows no signs of slowing down.
Supporting hundreds of national acts like Brooks and Dunn, Toby Keith, and Rascal Flatts (to name a few), being solicited by several major tourist destinations such as Atlantic City, NJ, Ocean City, MD, Rehoboth Beach, DE, and the Poconos, having performed as a featured artist at some of their areas biggest events and venues (Dollar Bank Jamboree, First Niaga-ra Pavilion, and the Pepsi-Cola Roadhouse, Pittsburgh Light Up and First Night, Atlantic City New Year's Eve), successfully navigating the fair, festival, casino, and corporate circuits, and performing for such organizations as the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins, this Pittsburgh based band delivers a refreshing and unique sound they call "Hard Rockin' Modern Country" that defies any other description.
After independently releasing their debut CD "Born and Raised" and having charted nationally with their first two singles (#78 and #82 respectively), NOMaD has been featured and performed on nationally syndicated radio shows and continues to receive local and regional airplay. Their newest., self titled release, has garnered an international charting single in "American Boy", as well as national and regional charting and placement in a national Supercuts radio ad campaign. In addition, the video for the song has won the national Mello Yello "One Track Find" competition, garnering them a sizeable monetary prize as well as being featured prominently in Mello Yello advertising and the prospects of a radio ad campaign. They continue to release from their newest release and are currently working on an acoustic EP as well.
