Born of the deep blues and rock roots of the Syracuse New York music scene, Castle Creek has branched out to create a sound that is at once familiar and completely all their own. Their powerhouse lead and harmony vocals blend seamlessly with searing guitar riffs and heartfelt lyrics to bring to mind the best of groups like Fleetwood Mac, Grace Potter, and The Tedeschi Trucks band. The duo, comprised of Kim Monroe and Chris Eves, have impressed audiences nationally from New York city to Los Angeles and all points in between.
Since the release of their debut album “The Only Life” in November 2014, Castle Creek have garnered rave reviews, a Syracuse area music award (SAMMY) for best blues recording, and boasted a full touring calendar. Highlights from the past year include a performance on the main stage at the winter NAMM show in Anaheim, an east coast tour with Tony Lucca from season two of The Voice, and opening slots for artists as diverse as Tyler Farr, Cabinet, Floodwood, and John Popper and the Duskray Troubadours. While all standout achievements, perhaps the band’s favorite moment in their still young career is when Phish drummer Jon Fishman sat in with them for a surprise 4 song jam. With an exciting calendar of upcoming dates, new recordings planned, and international festivals booked in both Ireland and Japan, the stage is set for Castle Creek to continue inspiring fans and wowing crowds with their music.
