Register for Retail Boot Camp
Get to Summer NAMM a day early on Wednesday, July 12 for an all-day intensive retail training across two tracks: Sales & Marketing and Financial Management.
Retail Boot Camp is free and open to all NAMM retail members, so bring the whole team—owners, managers, salespeople, marketers and administrative staff. Get ready to grow your business in the fourth quarter and beyond, just in time for the busy fall, back-to-school and holiday selling seasons.
At the Sales & Marketing track, Jon Schallert will show you how to make your music retail business a unique destination and cut through the noise. Schallert, a small-business expert, will share his “Destination Business” process for differentiating and marketing your store. With this powerful training, retailers will learn how to be more successful and profitable without relying solely on a physical location or customer demographics. Schallert’s process has been used extensively by independent retailers, shopping centers, retail chains, franchises, cities and downtowns.
Returning this year to lead the Financial Management track is the dynamic duo, Alan Friedman and Daniel Jobe of Friedman, Kannenberg & Co. This track will cover the most critical financial components of running any music retail business. Expect sessions that are jam-packed with best practices on such topics as purchasing and managing inventory, employee compensation, succession, financial statements and more.
