Summer NAMM is on, and we can't wait to reunite the industry in person to renew relationships and power our industry's recovery.
The show will feature an exciting market week format, featuring two pre-show days of industry meetings and two business-focused show days. Our retail members have stressed, now more than ever, how our industry needs to gather.

- What are the dates of Summer NAMM?
Thursday, July 15: 9 am–6 pm PT
Friday, July 16: 9 am–5 pm PT
Summer NAMM is back with two pre-show industry meeting days and two focused show days featuring expanded business hours. The adjusted date format will help prioritize business and safety, while minimizing travel costs for all involved.
While the show will look different than years past, we have heard from many members that, now more than ever, they need the opportunity to reconnect with their vendor partners, and are ready to travel to Summer NAMM.

- When will badge registration open?
Registration will open on April 28 for NAMM members and May 12 for general attendees.
- When will hotel bookings open?
The opportunity to book hotels will open on April 28 for NAMM members and May 12 for general attendees.
We are working closely with the city of Nashville and hotel partners to provide flexible cancellation and change dates.

- When will the Top 100 Dealer Awards be held?
Yes, the Top 100 Dealer Awards will return in person on the evening of Thursday, July 15. The celebration of excellence of music retail will serve as an emotional reunion of NAMM members who haven't seen each other for more than 18 months and also welcome some of the world's most powerful retailers to the show.
- What steps are you taking to attract buyers and influencers?
Our industry, and indeed, your member association, is built on personal and professional connections. Our membership values the importance of Summer NAMM as a critical gathering to see the latest products, garner business-building education and connect with the industry to chart a successful second half of the year. Given the uncertainty of the past year, we have heard strongly from NAMM membership and other buying communities that this year's event will be critical to power the future of our industry.
The market week kicks off Tuesday, July 13 with NASMD (National Association of School Music Dealers) co-locating their annual convention with Summer NAMM for the first time.
On Wednesday, July 14 a variety of pre-show meetings, including industry buying groups, will bring buyers to Nashville, while the Worship Musician Summer NAMM Hang will unite the house of worship community.
We are working closely with our retail membership community, along with independent buying groups, and distributors to attend Summer NAMM to see the latest products.
In addition, we are increasing efforts to market to local studios, houses of worship, schools, universities and other venues to increase buying power available to exhibitors. Music educators, along with music and pro audio students will also be welcome at the show, helping brands extend their reach.
- What activities are planned to unite the pro audio community?
Drawing from Nashville's rich studio and recording community, Summer NAMM will once again focus on gathering the pro audio community. The announcement of this year's TEC Awards Nominees on Thursday, July 15, will bring media attention to the category. Targeted education through the TEC Tracks program and other audio content providers will help professionals learn about the latest skills to power their businesses and careers.
- What activities are planned to reconnect the house of worship community?
Nashville is home to one of the country's largest worship centers, and professionals are looking for the latest in music, sound and live event products to power their worship experience. On Wednesday, July 14, the Worship Musician Summer NAMM Hang will unite the community to exchange best practice ideas, inspire each other and get ready to shop the show.
- What health and safety measures will be implemented for Summer NAMM?
NAMM and The Music City Center are committed to providing a safe environment to all guests by following guidance from the trade show industry, including Freeman Event services, to access and implement the latest health and safety efforts. We are working closely with the City of Nashville and local authorities on a detailed plan, utilizing the latest event safety and security measures, to create a safe and sound, business-conducive environment to reunite our communities at 2021 Summer NAMM.
Some of the aspects of this plan include:
Reimagined Floor Layout: Wider aisles, more space to physical distance and outdoor networking areas
Physical Distancing: From the airport to the show floor, there will be more space for all.
Face Coverings: Working with all attendees to help keep each other safe
Sanitizer Stations: Conveniently located around the Music City Center
Touchless Experiences: New solutions to minimize physical contact and protect attendees
- What other opportunities are available to grow sales?
As the first industry gathering in 18 months, Summer NAMM will offer a unique opportunity to recharge your sales programs. There are a variety of affordable sponsorships to generate brand visibility and differentiate your products from the competition.

- What happens if plans for Summer NAMM change?
With vaccinations on the rise and hearing from so many members that the industry needs a platform to gather, we are committed to producing a safe, sensible and productive event to reunite our business communities July 15–16.
