Welcome to the world of the Bordertown Saints, a place where cold beer is served in mason jars and the ghosts of Honkytonk’s past reign supreme. The Bordertown Saints formed in back in 2009, inspired by shots of whiskey, honky-tonk dives and the muddy sounds of a jukebox. Bordertown is comprised of life-long friends that love the sweaty ring of old analog and some swampy country songs.
Ruben Rivera (lead vocals/acoustic guitar), Dale Andersen (vocals/guitar), Mike Krause (guitar), Dean Carlson (bass) and Dave Light (drums) have kept true to their love of old country and rock n’roll. All veterans of the Southern California music scene – they are at their home with a microphone and crowd.
Bordertown has stacks of originals and crates full of cover songs in their repertoire. Their first full length CD was released in July 2012 (see review below). They are currently ripping up honky-tonks, dive bars and stages from San Francisco to San Diego.
