Todo Mundo ("All the World"), who was voted "Best World Music" band at the 2014 San Diego Music Awards, blends the musical flavors of Spanish Rumba, Reggae, Samba, Balkan and Middle Eastern styles into an irresistible groove that has been moving dance floors and connecting with audiences across the world since 2009. The band, which was also nominated for "Best World Music" band at the 2012 and 2013 San Diego Music Awards, is led by singer, guitarist, and songwriter Santiago Orozco, a native of Colombia.
Through music, Todo Mundo has learned to share their soul and experiences with the world. The power of music allows them to transmit their messages of equality and diversity. Their music and performances possess explosive energy that celebrates life and unity, with the aim of connecting with people from all over the world, and encouraging them to live in the present, as one.
They have toured across North America, performing at various festivals and concert halls throughout California, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Mexico. They have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with international artists such as Los Amigos Invisibles, Sister Nancy, Aterciopelados, Jarabe De Palo, and El Gran Silencio.
In 2013, Todo Mundo teamed up with Grammy Award winning engineer Alan Sanderson and released Conexion (Oct. 2013), their latest full length studio album. The album contains a “masterful blend” of grooves from around the world, and was nominated for "Best World Music Album" at the 2014 San Diego Music Awards (San Diego Uptown News). Conexion is their follow up album to "Organic Fire", which won "Best World Music Album" at the 2011 San Diego Music Awards. The band maintains a busy tour schedule and is planning on releasing new music in 2015.
Todo Mundo's live performances always contain explosive energy and positive vibrations. Our music contains an interesting mix of Spanish Rumba, Reggae, Samba, Balkan, and Middle Eastern styles, which is very danceable and easily accessible to the average listener. Our music contains positive messages of unity and equality, as well as infectious rhythms that create a party atmosphere. This combination will create a feeling of connectivity and community among those enjoying our performance. Our music will also engage listeners and encourage them to actively participate in the performance, through dancing and singing along with the band. Even if some of the audience has never heard of Todo Mundo prior to seeing us at NAMM, they will remember that they had a lot of fun and that they heard a band that plays music that is different and unique, in comparison to a lot of the music that circulating today. Todo Mundo performed at the Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad on May 2nd 2014 and had a great experience. We would love to continue to be a part of the NAMM community and share our music with an even bigger audience at NAMM in 2015. Thank you for your time and consideration. We hope to perform at NAMM in 2015!
