Carmen Rizzo leads this session about the ins & outs of Native Instruments new Komplete control w/ NI sound designer & developer Thanos Kazakos. The session will cover Komplete Kontrol keyboard & Maschine 2.2. integration with the keyboard as well as stand alone vs. a DAW and how this fits into Carmen's productions.
Los Angeles based producer, artist, electronic musician, composer, remixer, & two-time GRAMMY nominee Carmen Rizzo has had a very eclectic career – from writing, engineering & programming on Seal’s classic Seal 2 album to producing, & writing for Paul Oakenfold’s Bunka album, remixing BT, Tiesto, collaborating with Tuvan Throat singers Huun Huur Tu, to co founding & being a member the ground breaking World Music act Niyaz. Carmen is also a frequent fixture on album credits working with artist such as Coldplay, Alanis Morissette, Dido, AR Rahman, Ryuichi Sakamoto, to Pete Townshend to contributing original music to the David Lynch Foundation album alongside Moby & Peter Gabriel. His composing skills range from scoring 2 films for acclaimed Director Michael Apted & Stanley Brooks to composing the end title for the Sony PlayStation Video game Un Charted 2.
As a member of The Grammy organization, Carmen has served as a Governor & Trustee & co-wrote the category’s Best Electronic Album & Technical Grammys for Apple & Roger Linn (Inventor of the Drum Machine). Carmen has lectured all over the world including Berklee School of music, USC, UCLA, LA Film School, SAE, Full Sail, European Film Academy in Skopje Macedonia where is an honorary professor as well as doing a TED Talk in the US.
