2017 TEC Tracks Sneak Peek

Sound, studio and stage professionals will discover big ideas, innovative concepts and unique training opportunities at TEC Tracks, held during The 2017 NAMM Show. These educational sessions will feature industry thought leaders presenting on everything from recording, live sound, DJ and lighting to entertainment technology and music business.

Forward Thinking

TEC Tracks offers something for every type of audio and technology professional. And for the first time, TEC Tracks will include specialized all-day education programs focused on particular areas.

Thursday focuses on entertainment technology on Thursday, and features in-depth live sound and lighting sessions. On Friday, attendees can experience an all-day futurist track led by A3E (Advanced Audio + Applications Exchange), using advanced audio applications to explore the boundaries of musical creativity. They will also  highlight best practices and provide case studies of the advanced audio applications that are transforming the MI marketplace. A3E’s summit will continue through Saturday. Coinciding with the TEC Awards that night, Saturday’s focus will shift to recording innovation, and on Sunday, a music business track will appeal to all the communities at The NAMM Show.

Iconic Presenters

Among the star power at TEC Tracks, music industry guru Bob Lefsetz will interview superproducer Peter Asher—whose credits include James Taylor, Morrissey, Linda Ronstadt, Diana Ross, Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, among many others—in a special keynote. Also, legendary producer Jack Douglas will do a full studio breakdown of Aerosmith’s “Toys in the Attic” album with award-winning journalist, Mr. Bonzai.

For the first time, The 2017 NAMM Show will host training and certification sessions for the industry-leading audio networking technology, DanteTM. Held at The NAMM Show and presented by Audinate, the creator of Dante, attendees will have the opportunity to experience two days of hands-on training as part of the company’s Dante Certification Program.
