Lucy & La Mer
Lucy & La Mer is an indie band from Los Angeles, California.
Their debut EP Little Spoon charted on College Radio in 2015, followed by a national tour and 2 semi-finalist spots in the International Songwriter Contest. The Huffington Post called their most recent 2017 single ("Honey, Put Your Weapons Down") the "perfect indie pop anthem" and the OC Weekly premiered the song's internationally acclaimed music video.
The band has performed at LA Fashion Week, The Rose Bowl Vegan Beer Festival, CMJ Music Marathon, Echo Park Rising, KCRW's Chinatown Summer Nights, Jam in the Van, and BalconyTV, and recently performed for the Mayor of LA. Lead singer Lucy LaForge is a social justice activist, and works closely with women's rights organizations and LGBT activist groups.
Lucy & La Mer been featured in the Los Angeles Times for their collaboration with The City of LA in their "Rainy Days" music video, featuring Orange Amps and Kala Ukuleles. as well as mentions in LA Weekly, BuzzBands LA, Music Connection Magazine, Brooklyn Vegan, and LA Music Blog.
Lucy has shared the stage with Moby, Cat Power, Joseph, Jamestown Revival, Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music), Bayside, and White Buffalo. She is endorsed by Kala Brand Ukuleles and continues to host the "Listen to Lucy" YouTube show, sharing music industry advice and interviews with indie artists.
