LD Systems Introduces the CURV 500 TS – Pure Touring Power

LD Systems

LD Systems, an Adam Hall Group brand, presents the CURV 500® TS Touring Array System at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, California this winter (January 25-28, 2018) – a high-performance portable array for powerful sound systems with increased specifications in terms of pressure, dynamics and coverage. The CURV 500® Touring Array System is the latest addition to the award-winning CURV 500® series by LD Systems, extending the range of use offered by this innovative array system to include applications that require a particularly high sound pressure and broad, wide-ranging dispersion. The CURV 500® TS offers the same easy scalability and transport-friendly compactness as the other systems in the CURV 500® series, making these products pioneers in terms of portability and suitability for a very diverse range of applications. New duplex satellite Equipped with four interlocked array satellites in unibody design, including two new duplex satellites fitted with two speakers each (two 4-inch mid-range speakers and six 1-inch tweeters), the CURV 500® TS has a narrower vertical dispersion of 30° so as to ensure the sound has sufficient pressure and dynamics to be able to reach rear sections of the audience, too. Unlike regular satellites with 10° coverage, the duplex satellite has a dispersion angle of 5°. The satellites are powered via the familiar SmartLink® adapter, which can be used as a base unit for wireless operation of up to four satellites. All array satellites are fitted with WaveAhead® technology by LD Systems for high-definition audio quality with remarkable pressure and outstanding balance. Extended bass performance The basis of the CURV 500® TS is the new 15-inch bass reflex subwoofer with a peak output of 1,400 watts, including a class D amplifier and DSP unit. The latter gives users a total of six DSP presets for fast and flexible system configuration. The subwoofer also features a multi-band limiter as well as a range of functions to ensure protection from short circuiting, overheating and overvoltage. In terms of connections, there are XLR and Neutrik speakON compatible sockets available, while a Neutrik powerCON socket ensures a stable mains power supply. With its low weight, the CURV 500® Touring Set provides a flexible PA solution offering a coherent and extremely detailed sound with a high level of pressure and dynamics as well as broad, wide-ranging dispersion. The set includes a Gravity rod attachment and a 2.2 m speaker cable. #NAMM2018 #ProAudio #ProLighting #EventTech Further information: www.ld-systems.com/CURV500TS Information about Adam Hall Group: www.adamhall.com blog.adamhall.com event.tech
