Media Registration for The 2018 NAMM Show

The NAMM Show, the global crossroads of the music products, pro audio and sound, and live event technology industries, returns to Anaheim, California January 25-28, 2018. The NAMM Show will be hosted in the newly-expanded Anaheim Convention Center in 2018 and will offer you a dynamic way to cover all aspects of music: from products, to pro sound and live production. Preview new products from 7,000+ brands, enjoy special events set to live music, celebrity appearances, dozens of educational sessions tied to today’s trends, and interviews with the world’s top innovators, artists and professionals in the music world.

Register for a new credential HERE by accessing the “Request a Media Badge” section. 

Non-transferable media credentials can be picked up on-site starting Wednesday, January 24, 2018, with photo ID. All media will have access to The NAMM Media Centers, all NAMM exhibits, and a variety of award shows and networking events.

After January 24, at 6 p.m PST, only ON-SITE media registration will be available. Please proceed to the Media Registration Desk (second floor of Hilton Anaheim) with your credentials, including letter of assignment, business card and photo ID.

NAMM’s Media Preview Day returns Wednesday, January 24, 2018. A new time and location will be announced soon. This is a great opportunity to preview music products releasing in 2018, and a chance to get a jump start on coverage by picking up your media credential early.

New to The NAMM Show:

AES (Audio Engineering Society) has formed an alliance with NAMM for the January show and will present AES@NAMM: Pro Sound Symposium Live and Studio. Agendas will include technical sessions, expert speaker presentations, hands-on workshops and tutorials, as well as networking events and social opportunities and professional development offerings for music and pro audio professionals.    

The Parnelli Awards: Timeless Communications Corp. will relocate The Parnelli Awards to the Anaheim Convention Center as a part of The NAMM Show. The premier award show for the live production community will honor Bobby Thrasher, longtime production manager for Billy Joel and other top artists with the 2018 Parnelli Audio Lifetime Achievement Award; lighting designer Jonathan Smeeton (The Rolling Stones, Marilyn Manson, Jane’s Addiction, Taylor Swift), who will be receiving the Parnelli Visionary Award; and pro audio pioneer and DiGiCo technical director John Stadius will be honored with the 2018 Parnelli Audio Innovator Award.

NAMM has partnered with ESTA (Entertainment Services and Technology Association) to offer event technology professionals a new platform for industry training, business development and networking in lighting, lighting technology, rigging and more.

Returning to The NAMM Show: The 33rd Annual NAMM TEC Awards honoring excellence in sound technology and creativity in worlds of music making, live performances, video games, television and films. Stay tuned to find out who will receive the Les Paul Award and who will be inducted into the NAMM TEC Hall of Fame. Last year, The NAMM TEC Awards honored Aerosmith’s Joe Perry and his producer, Jack Douglas.

TEC Tracks sessions will again feature master classes, live interviews and panel discussions on the most relevant topics for recording, live sound, DJ, lighting, music business and entertainment technology professionals.
