ESTA’s 2018 Swan Awarded to Scott Hoyt

ESTA’s prestigious Swan award was presented Saturday evening to Scott Hoyt. The award, offered only when there is an exceptional candidate who meets the stringent criteria, is given to individuals who have put forth extraordinary efforts in time, expertise, and personal resources on behalf of ESTA. Scott is a partner in and Vice President of Heartland Scenic Studios in Omaha, Nebraska, an ESTA Business Member since 1992. Scott served as ESTA’s Treasurer for the past six years as well as serving in a multitude of other capacities. He has worked tirelessly to strengthen ESTA’s financial position and chart a course for the association’s future including its partnership with NAMM. The ESTA Board of Directors is honored to present the 2018 Swan Award to Scott Hoyt.

ESTA’s 2019 Members' Choice Award Winners Announced

Winners of the 2019 ESTA Members' Choice Awards for this year’s innovative and exciting products are Lex Products for the EverGrip powerCON Adapter in the Gadget category (small enough to fit in a backpack) and Mega Systems/Mega Lite’s Circa Scoop LED for Equipment (too large for a backpack). ESTA Member exhibitors nominate products, and ESTA members attending The 2019 NAMM Show voted for the ones they found most useful and desirable. ESTA and NAMM are pleased to offer this opportunity for industry recognition of new products.

Education Curated by ESTA, a 'Creditable' Choice

Lighting and Electrical, Safety, Rigging and Lighting Networking—all four subjects were presented in ESTA-curated educational tracks. These sessions are designed to provide in-depth, progressive education to entertainment technology and design professionals, and those responsible for their safety. The past three days have seen a highly diverse group of attendees seeking product information and professional training, with these ESTA sessions offering free ETCP renewal credits. NAMM and ESTA take great pride in their mutual collaboration, providing valuable opportunities for continuing education and industry growth.
