Collateral loudspeaker coverage can be defined as the areas/surfaces that are coincidentally covered by the loudspeaker system in the process of “putting the sound where the people are” and the unexpected consequences of extraneous coverage caused by haphazard loudspeaker deployment (i.e., hunting rabbits with a shotgun). We will examine these effects and explore strategies to optimize coverage while avoiding the deleterious effects of Collateral Coverage.
