Heaping Teaspoon

Heaping Teaspoon is a 6-piece high energy groove machine from San Diego, CA. We formed in 2020 following a convergence of musicians representing an array of local San Diego music scenes. As a result, we draw from diverse musical backgrounds and influences, ranging from soul, funk, hip-hop, reggae, jazz, and blues. The past 2 years have been spent performing our original set across San Diego and the Bay Area, and working as a backing band for artists including Kahlil Nash, Brian McKnight Jr., Akaycentric, & Squeeze Tarela. 2022 also saw the release of the first two singles in our 6-piece format, "It's You" and "One Of The Good Ones."
