NAMM’s initiative for Business-to-Business (B2B) XML data exchange is intended to provide a complete suite of documents for electronic transactions. One part of this initiative is product categorization. By giving all items in the music product industry a standard category number, based on product type, users can organize, promote, capture information and support their business efforts. The NAMM Technology Committee, with a cross section of members from all segments of the music products industry, has put together this product category system. The product codes below show all the product categories along with their associated ID numbers. If you do not see an appropriate category for your product, requests for a category addition should be submitted to the NAMM Technology Committee. We appreciate your help and support of this NAMM initiative to enhance our music industry standards.
