The NAMM Foundation Invites College Students and Faculty to Join "NAMM Generation Next" at the 2013 NAMM Show

Program offers professional development and networking opportunities to music majors and faculty

The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) invites college music majors and university music faculty to attend the "NAMM Generation Next" program at the 2013 NAMM Show. This unique program offers professional development sessions and networking opportunities to help students explore careers and connections within the music products industry.

The NAMM Show takes place January 24-27, 2013 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. This invitation is for college or university music majors and music faculty only as the NAMM Show is a “trade only” event.

This year's highlights include:

  • Morning motivational sessions featuring Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser of Attitude Concepts, Inc. and music industry leaders
  • Seminars that provide “career ready” updates and information
  • Volunteer opportunities for hands on experience that is great for resume building
  • Admission to Music Education Days that celebrate music teachers with sessions that inspire teaching music today and explore new and innovative tools for teaching

Registration fees are waived for qualified university and college-level music students and music faculty through January 3, 2013. Attendees will be responsible for their travel expenses to the NAMM Show and other related costs.

College music majors, music faculty and music school leaders are encouraged to attend as guests of the NAMM Foundation.
