In addition, each day of the show starts with a NAMM U Breakfast Session, followed by short, focused sessions throughout the day in the NAMM Idea Center, which are presented by industry experts who focus on the needs and concerns of the entire music products industry.

Music Advocacy
The NAMM Foundation works to advance active participation in music making across the lifespan by supporting scientific research, philanthropic giving and public service programs from the international music products industry. The Support Music Coalition, a public service led by U.S.-based NAMM and MENC: The National Association for Music Education and comprised of more than 200 organizations and businesses, seeks to strengthen community commitment and support for quality music education in schools. Library and Resource Center
Established in 1946 when NAMM was only 45 years old, the NAMM Resource Center provides Members, the media, academic researchers and the general public with access to the industry historical data from more than a century of NAMM research, records and archives and more than 1,000 videotaped interviews with people who have shaped the industry. The broader scope of the collections is the history of the music products industry, categorized into five main subject categories:
- NAMM History
- Manufacturer History
- Retail History
- Music History (especially as it pertains to instrument and product innovations)
