This interactive session deals with the social, emotional, and practical benefits of having students perform music that they have learned. We will focus on making performance the natural outcome of classroom instruction and demonstrate how to give students purpose and motivation for learning. Participants will experience putting together musical arrangements that include playing and singing melodies with harmony and chord accompaniment. We will also include instruction on utilizing bass to complement and support the learning and the performance. A limited number of ukuleles and Ubasses will be available for use. Presented by The NAMM Foundation in collaboration with KALA Brand Music and the Langley Ukulele Association.
