The purpose of this panel is to examine what makes an effective audio technology curriculum and how to overcome the common challenges faced by educators and students who have to decide what skills to focus on. For instructors, the options of what to teach and when to teach can be daunting and for students the seemingly endless possibilities of what to study can also feel overwhelming. Our panel will tackle topics like fundamentals vs. advanced skills, generalization vs. specialization, and how to promote diversity, equity, and inclusiveness in curricular decisions.
