Mission Vista High School Steel Drum Ensemble

Mission Vista High School has 3 levels of performing Steel Drum Ensembles with over 150 total students. These groups perform regularly for district and community events, music festivals, and special events. They perform a variety of styles ranging from traditional songs from Trinidad and Tobago, Calypso and Soca, Reggae, Jazz, Modern Rock, Pop and anything in between. They often collaborate with guest artists and arrangers from around the world and were featured on the "Pan In Unity" project with 700 musicians from 23 different countries. They have toured in the continental US and Hawaii, and have been featured on local television. Their performance videos have gotten over 30,000 views on YouTube in the last 4 years alone
