Oléha (olé + aloha) is Orange County, California’s premier flamenco Hawaiian fusion live jam instrumental duo. Guitarrista maestro extraordinaire, Victor M. Perez, hypnotizes audiences with flamenco inspired ballads that fills the air with the romantic mystery, intrigue and excitement of exotic Barcelona night markets. Ukulele enthusiast and talent manager, Erik S. Chan, balances Oléha’s flamenco tones with whimsical, soothing, Hawaiian inspired melodies that teleports listeners to the warm, sandy beaches of Waikiki, where he lived in his childhood years. These two musicians, that play music originating from regions on opposite sides of the globe, met while busking in Old Towne Orange, CA (city next door to NAMM). And, as if by fate, their styles clicked. Premiering as Oléha on June 29, 2022, their unique instrumental chemistry has performed weekly for audiences throughout Southern California at venues/events including the Garden Amp, the Orange County Museum of Art, the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival, Long Beach Airport, Irvine Spectrum, Anaheim Gardenwalk, and the Anaheim, Long Beach and Riverside Convention Centers. They have performed for the nonprofits CorasCrafts.org and AFutureSuperHero.com. Oléha will be performing at the Orange County Ukulele Festival in March 2024.
