Sleepy Pearls

The Sleepy Pearls are led by Violette Larsen and Brendan Michie - a project inspired by a byegone era of coastal California doo wop and Western folk of the Fifties and Sixties.

Our debut single “If I Thought About It” was released on September 22nd, 2022. Written on a road trip to San Francisco, the tender song was recorded to 2 inch tape and features omnichords, melodicas, and a quartet of string musicians whose melodies move gracefully between sounds reminiscent of a quaint Parisian cafe and a big band performance in the roaring 20s.
