Founded 20 years ago by noted audio and music journalist George Petersen as the historic offshoot of the TEC Awards, the NAMM TEC Awards TECnology Hall of Fame (presented since 2015 by the NAMM Museum of Making Music), the event honors products and innovations that over the years have made significant contributions to the advancement of audio and music technology.
