Wind Instrument Maintenance Solutions That Keep Students Playing

It never fails! The bell rings, students take their seats, you walk up to the podium ready for the downbeat, and suddenly, students intercept you with an unplayable instrument. Participants will apply diagnostic skills to differentiate between maintenance that can be easily performed in the classroom and issues that require the services of a professional repair shop. Participants will gain knowledge and skills to address typical instrument maintenance and emergency repairs, including simple solutions for instrument maintenance that save time in the classroom and keep students playing between recommended professional maintenance, repair, and cleanings. Presented by The NAMM Foundation in collaboration with Eastman Strings and the Mr Holland’s Opus Foundation.
