NAMM Trade Show Badge Allotment Policy Statement
NAMM Shows are trade-only events held annually to assist the association in fulfilling its mission to unify, lead and strengthen the international music products industry. This document is designed to explain the badging policy and allotments for NAMM Member companies wishing to participate in NAMM Trade Shows. Please Note: There are no refunds granted.
How do I request additional badges over my company's allotment?
In order to combat the growing visitor badge situation at the NAMM Show, over-allotment badges are unavailable this year.
Trade show badges are required to access the show floor and must be visible at all times while on the trade show floor. The specific category and color on the badge identify show floor access:
Allowed on the show floor at any time during set up, dismantle and during open show hours:
RED: Exhibitor, Manufacturer Rep*, Exhibitor Press, Demonstrator
Allowed only during open show hours:
BLUE: Buyer, Retail Employee, Distributor Buyer, Corporate Buyer
GREEN: Exhibitor Employee **, Industry Associate, Workforce Development, Non-Exhibit Manufacturers
YELLOW: Visitor
BLACK: Artist
CLEAR: Media
Note: Red Exhibitor badge may escort Blue Buyer badge to the booth for meetings prior to show open.
Badge allotments by NAMM Member category:
Retail Member
1 blue Buyer or Retail Employee badge for each employee, based on employee count in the NAMM Member company record.
1 yellow Visitor green Associate badge per employee, based on employee count in the NAMM Member company record.
No badges over the allotment will be available.
Distributor Member
1 blue Buyer badge for each employee, based on employee count in the NAMM Member company record.
1 yellow Visitor or green Associate badge per employee, based on employee count in the NAMM Member company record.
No badges over the allotment will be available.
Exhibitor Member
8 red Exhibitor badges for the first 100 sq ft of booth space plus 2 additional red Exhibitor badges for each additional 100 sq ft. ***
1 green Employee badge for each employee not given an Exhibitor badge.
1 yellow Visitor or green Associate badge or black Artist badge per employee, based on employee count in the NAMM Member company record.
No badges over the allotment will be available.
Manufacturer Rep
1 red Manufacturer Rep badge for each Rep employee of the company.
1 yellow Visitor or green Associate badge per employee, based on employee count in the NAMM Member company record.
No badges over the allotment will be available.
Non Exhibit Commercial Member
4 green Non-Exhibit Company badge.
No badges over the allotment will be available.
Every registration in every category will count toward the company badge allotment.
Only those NAMM Member company employees who are registered for their own Buyer, Exhibitor, Manufacturer Rep or Non-Exhibit Company badge may register additional attendee names for their company. Attendees registered as Visitor may not register additional names.
*Note: Attendees with a red Exhibitor badge have the ability to remove product from the show floor and access the show outside of normal show hours. Because of this, the Exhibitor badge allotment may not be used for dealers, distributors or end users. Exhibitor badges are not permitted for minors, 17 or under.
**Note: Green Exhibitor Employee badges DO NOT admit the wearer onto the show floor before or after show hours (like red Exhibitor badges), so please plan badge allotments accordingly.
NEW POLICY CONCERNING VISITORS AND CHILDREN UNDER 18
We are revamping the badge policy guidelines to make them easier to understand.
Children Under the Age of 18 Admission Policy
IMPORTANT: Attendees with Yellow Visitor Badges may not bring children or infants under the age of 18 to the NAMM Show.
Yellow = Visitor Badge
NAMM Members and their employees may bring children to the NAMM Show provided their qualified guardians (must be over 18) have one of the following badges:
Red = Exhibitor, Manufacturer Rep
Blue = Buyer, Retail Employee and Distributor
Black = Artist
Green = Associate, Exhibitor Employee and Non-Exhibitor
Guidelines:
- Children must be under adult supervision at all times.
- A Child Release Form must be filled out for each child.
- Mobile phone number required for parent/guardian to complete child badge registration.
- Qualified guardians (must be over 18) and children may pick up their badges in Room 201 of the Anaheim Convention Center only.
- All children under 18 are only allowed access to NAMM Show exhibits during show hours only.
- Children under the age of 18 are not permitted on the trade show floor during setup or teardown.
- Child badges count toward the NAMM Member company’s badge allotment.
NAMM Introduces "Sunday Only" Yellow Badge
New yellow badge option helps you manage your allotment so you can get more business done.
The new Sunday Only yellow badge gives you another option.
- Please take a look at your current yellow badge list, decide who needs to be there all four days and give them the traditional yellow badge.
- For all the others, give them the Sunday Only yellow badge. We're offering a generous allotment of Sunday Only badges so that you can continue to invite those non-industry guests you’ve been inviting in the past. To clarify, you will have the same number of visitor badges you have always had, and now you will also have a separate and equal allotment of Sunday Only Badges.
The goal with this change is to relieve some of the aisle congestion on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. In the past few years we've taken many steps to enhance the value of the blue buyer badges (early floor access and preferred parking) and this change will help our buyers get around easier and get more business done.
