Introduction to DMX512-A and RDM

Although DMX512 was adopted as a standard lighting protocol in 1986, compatibility issues between various pieces of equipment still exist. This session will highlight theory and best practices, as well as offer troubleshooting tips on how to make a reliable DMX512 installation. Recent updates to the DMX512-A standard (E1.11) will be covered. In addition, the Remote Device Management protocol (RDM) will be presented along with forthcoming revisions to that standard, which are now in progress. 1.0 ETCP renewal credit
