Issues & Advocacy
NAMM gives your company a voice in Washington and lobbies for the issues that affect your business—like import/export laws, CITES regulations, Prop. 65, AB-5 Worker Status and music education. NAMM informs members on these issues, and how to take action. NAMM's advocacy efforts promote the benefits of making music to keep music in schools and create music makers of the future.
The NAMM Foundation advances active participation in music-making across the lifespan by supporting scientific research, philanthropic giving and public service programs. A supporting organization of NAMM, The NAMM Foundation is funded by NAMM members through trade association activities and private donations. NAMM’s reach extends around the world with international grants to support research and programs that help create a brighter future for music makers across every demographic.
